IV Therapy

Intravenous (IV) therapies are used to deliver nutrients directly into the body,
bypassing the digestive system and ensuring 100% absorption. This safe and highly effective treatment utilizes vitamins, minerals, amino acids, specialized fatty acids, and homeopathic extracts to support detoxification, infections, injury and any condition with increased nutrient requirement.

Benefits of IV Nutrient Therapy

  • Support immune function – colds, flu, viral infections, cancer
  • Improve energy – whether you suffer from chronic fatigue syndrome or just
    need a little boost
  • Enhance endurance – athlete’s, frequent travel, stressful work/lifestyle
  • Increase nutrient status – for those with digestive issues that may not be
absorbing nutrients from their diet, i.e. IBS, Celiac, IBD
  • Recovery from surgery – enhance healing, speed up recovery time, and
prevent infection or complications following dental work or other surgery
  • Muscle pain – IV magnesium quickly relaxes tense muscles and eases pain

IV Formulas:

LDI and LDA Immunotherapy

Low dose immunotherapy is an easy and effective therapy for all types of immune hyperactivity. It treats allergy, autoimmunity, chemical sensitivity, Lyme disease, and other immune mediated conditions. The treatment involves administering very diluted (homeopathic) formulas, customized for the patient’s specific immune reactions. Commonly used formulas include foods, inhalants, chemicals, strep, Lyme, and patient’s own body samples.

Low dose immunotherapy is administered approximately every 2 months, as a small superficial injection or sublingual dose. It becomes more effective over time and doses can eventually become more spread out, usually after a year of treatment. This therapy is usually administered in conjunction with other immune balancing treatments including vitamin D optimization and gut healing protocols.

A typical treatment plan can be seen below:

Initial consult (1 hour) – Treatment can sometimes be administered at the first visit. Sometimes there is an anti fungal prep that needs to happen, depending on the patient. (10-14 days of anti fungal therapy before the treatment begins) Optimum vitamin D helps with the therapy as well so the vitamin D/ B12 test will be recommended at the first visit. If it is thought the hormones or other biochemical processes out of balance other labs will be suggested at this time.

Treatment will not be given on the first day if there is an active infection in the body, and occasionally for other reasons. If there are known food allergies (based on symptoms not labs) and you have eaten that food in the last two days and are reacting, treatment may be postponed. If you really want a treatment at your first visit you could have a phone consult first.

Sometimes the doctor will send you home with a series of LDA/ LDI syringes that are different strengths to ‘titrate’ up to their effective dose. They are administered every 10-14 days.

Follow up (15, 30, 45 or 60 min): Your first follow up is dependent on whether treatment is administered the first visit, if yes then follow up is every 7-8 weeks for the first year. If a treatment was not administered, the patient will usually come back in 1-2 weeks and then start the treatment. At appointments, treatments can be injected or administered under the tongue.

If you are a long distance patient, treatments can be shipped to patients to administer under the tongue. When shipped, the needles have a piece of tape securing them. Ignore the tape and push through it- do not try to remove the tape. It doesn’t matter if freezes or gets hot while shipping.

Personalized Diet & Nutrition

Nutrition and digestion form the foundations for our health. Our doctors at Kinetic Patterns are experts in nutrition and can help develop a nutrition plan that is specifically tailored to your needs.

Whether you are dealing with digestive issues, want to improve energy, or lose weight, it all begins with diet and nutrition.

There are specific tests that can be utilized to help develop a tailored nutritional plan, including the IgG Food Sensitivity test and the Nutrigenomix genetic test.

Tinctures

Tinctures are herbal remedies that use alcohol or other solutions to extract the active ingredients from a herb. They have many uses from soothing a sore throat, to aiding sleep, as well as helping with general health concerns.

Tinctures are potent remedies, so a small amount can have a big impact. The alcohol also acts as a preservative, so tinctures last a very long time!

At Kinetic Patterns we have a full array of different herbal tinctures, and our Naturopathic Doctors can make custom blends suited to your specific needs.

Hormone Balancing

Hormones are important chemical messengers used by every cell in the body. Hormones keep us feeling vibrant and happy, and help regulate energy, metabolism, and healing. When our hormones are out of balance they can produce a wide range of symptoms and contribute to chronic disease and accelerated aging.

Most hormone balancing programs begin with hormone testing and a one hour initial consultation. The most advanced diagnostic tests are used and may include blood, saliva or urine. The most common treatments for hormone imbalances include nutrition, sleep support, stress management, liver and digestion support, detoxification, herbal medicine and bio-identical hormones. These treatments are very effective and will get you feeling great again!

Tests include but are not limited to the following:

  • Dutch complete hormone test
  • Blood tests: Insulin, Thyroid, Vitamin D, B12

The doctor may request other tests as well depending on other deficiencies or health concerns. The Dutch test needs to be done 7-10 days before expected period in menstruating women. This can cause delay in setting up a follow up appointment to discuss results and is something to keep in mind when setting up the initial consult.

RightSleep® Program

The RightSleep® Program was developed by Neurologist and Sleep Specialist Dr. Stasha Gominak.

Dr. Gominak developed this program after experience with thousands of sleep patients over many years. She found that all of her patients with sleep disorders were deficient in Vitamin D. When Vitamin D levels were optimized, they began to sleep normally again. Not only did their sleep improve, but chronic complaints such as pain and migraines started to go away as well.

The other discovery Dr. Gominak made after treating thousands of sleep patients was that our good gut bacteria require Vitamin D to thrive, and in return they make B-vitamins that are essential to our sleep and overall health. By optimizing Vitamin D levels and supplementing specific B-vitamins for a period of time, the good gut bacteria return and both sleep and digestive disorders resolve.

How Does The RightSleep® Program Work?

Step 1: Test Vitamin D and Vitamin B12 levels
-Once we know your baseline Vitamin D levels, we recommend a starting Vitamin D dose
for 1 month
-If Vitamin B12 levels are low, additional B12 supplement is recommended
-Depending on your baseline Vitamin D levels, a Vitamin B-Complex may be added in for 3 months in order to feed the growth of beneficial gut bacteria

Step 2: Re-test Vitamin D levels after 1 month
-Depending on the levels of this follow up test, a specific Vitamin D dosage regimen is established

Step 3: Re-test Vitamin D levels after 3 months
-At this point we can accurately track and predict how your body responds to Vitamin D supplementation
-Most people can stop their B-Complex at this point, as the good gut bacteria have returned and will be producing sufficient amounts on B-vitamins

Step 4: Re-test Vitamin D levels at the end of winter and the end of summer
-These tests will determine how efficiently your body produces Vitamin D from sun exposure

Sleep is about healing.

Healing every night means we wake up in a good mood, happy, hopeful, curious, engaged and pain-free. We don’t go to the doctor because there’s no reason to.

Not healing means your life is full of trips to the doctor, small or large health issues and mental anguish.

I want to show you how to fix your sleep, not just for the next few days or months, but for the rest of your life!

RightSleep ® is an innovative approach for sleep repair. Using vitamins that are readily available at any pharmacy, you can improve your sleep disorder, whether it’s insomnia, chronic fatigue or apnea. All it takes is commitment, patience and a willingness to listen to your body. Vitamins don’t just magically fix your sleep. Sleep puts us into “repair mode”, and the vitamins are the building blocks we use to make those repairs. Once you understand what is wrong with your sleep, and how to improve it, you will be able to live the life that you deserve. Reduce your headaches, improve your anxiety, depression, fatigue, pain and many other chronic illnesses.
