Heart Disease
by admin
Heart disease and stroke are two of the top three leading causes of death in Canada. In fact, in Canada, every 7 minutes someone dies from heart disease or stroke.
Fortunately, for most people suffering from heart disease and other systemic circulatory conditions, there is an alternative that is significantly less invasive and has been proven over and over again to be just as effective and if not, even more effective than the other more invasive procedures. This treatment is called Enhanced External Counter Pulsation (EECP).
Kinetic Patterns is pleased to announce that we have expanded our cardiovascular disease prevention and rehabilitation program to include Enhanced External Counter Pulsation Therapy .
Kinetic Patterns is one of only 2 facilities in Western Canada offering Enhanced External Counter Pulsation (EECP), an effective, non-invasive therapy for the treatment and prevention of heart disease. EECP works in two important ways:
- it increases blood flow to the heart muscle and decreases its workload. Some compare EECP therapy to passive exercise for the heart.
- it improves the flow of oxygen rich blood to the heart by opening, and forming new blood vessels to form a natural bypass
Candidates for this therapy include those with:
- Congestive Heart Failure
- Coronary Artery Disease
- Hypertension
- Angina
- Peripheral Vascular Disease
We are accepting patients for treatments starting mid August 2011. To learn more about our program contact Bonnie at 604-876-1150 or Contact Us by email
